The 100-point model
Listing identity
Public listing match, website/domain alignment, phone, hours, relevant categories, visible photos and identity consistency.
Reputation benchmark
Rating and review-count performance relative to at least three relevant sampled peers, plus honest source context on website claims.
Local website relevance
Service and locality relevance, valid LocalBusiness schema, service/location content, NAP consistency, sitemaps and canonicals.
Conversion and trust
Visible calls to action, tap-to-call, booking/contact distance, usable forms, identifiable proof and privacy/contact disclosure.
Technical experience
HTTPS, mobile viewport, repeatable lab-performance signals and broken internal-link failures.
Accessibility signals
Automated language, landmark, heading, image alternative, form label, contrast and focus checks.
Scoring safeguards
- Unavailable checks are removed from the available denominator; the report shows coverage beside the score.
- An overall score is withheld when less than 60% of the methodology can be evaluated.
- Historical comparisons require the same methodology version and substantially comparable coverage.
- Competitive results are called a peer sample or discovery snapshot, never an exact local ranking.
- Priorities reflect observed lost points, confidence, impact and effort—not projected revenue.
Important boundaries
Public Places data cannot reveal every private or authenticated Google Business Profile setting. Connected profile management is a separate, explicitly authorized integration. Automated accessibility checks cannot determine WCAG or ADA compliance and are not legal advice. Credentials, testimonials and business claims can be detected, but LocalSignal does not independently verify them.
